We recorded this in the summer of 98 & 99 the last album (Paint My Legs) was much colder. This one needed to be more fun, more fried. Sometimes everything just looks too safe. If you're not trying to step over the line them what's the point? The whole world look's like it's on drugs of some description; all were doing is making connections.

John Wills did almost everything on the backing track of 'Back Of Your Mind' and he fucked up the radios on 'Leader Of The Pack'........on which Paul Widger's guitar is also used. Snider donated the backing track for 'Grease Junkie' and Natalie Matthews helped with the handclaps. Cap'n Koom (curtesey of Kumo) did all the right moves with his theremin on 'Picking Up Speed'...... and Jo Cammack sang the back-up. Special thanks to Candy (courtesy of Sex Change Machine) for singing the lead on 'Ditch I'm In'
All songs by Hope/Collins except 'Leader Of The Pack & Back of your Mind by Hope/Collins/Wills
Engineered by Charlie Collins @ the Sound Kitchen, Sheffield.
